Competitive Advantages

wPedigree- designed by the people who designed Avaya IP Office & Index products… However, maximiser’s design is four to five years more advanced and takes into account the changes in regard to the internet, the advent of broadband and VoIP networks (just to name a few).
ØwPure IP System- maximiser is a full IP system which is one of the reasons for its flexibility and connectivity. It is not just “IP ready” or “IP enabled” as are most of the opposition. Maximiser uses the LAN or WAN as its base for communication not traditional backplanes which are generally proprietary and requiring edge devices or interfaces to connect.
ØwNo Legacy- maximiser was built from the ground up without having to take into account the need to comply or work with legacy systems. The opposition has needed to work with older designs, design bolt-ons, upgrades or converters and need to use models and parts to compliment or add to their legacy systems. This only adds complexity, reduces functionality and connectivity.
ØwOpen source- maximiser can work with almost any other hardware, whereas most other systems are proprietary and can only work with their own phones etc. maximiser can work with other systems and supplementary hardware.
ØwOnly 2 modules- The call servers (5100 & 5108) can act alone, or be part of a WAN, and the analogue module (5315 or 5330) for connection of analogue devices. The opposition usually have far more intricate systems and also do not have the scalabity within the one system thus adding cost and complexity.

Features & Functionality

Below is listed  some of the features and functionality of the system. It is not an exhaustive list but those that we feel may be of interest. Please contact us to further understand how our Business Telephony System can give your business the competitive edge whilst reducing costs.
Ø
ØwScalability- maximiser can scale from 4 to 10,000 users just by adding more call servers (500 extensions per 5100 call server). Opposition have different models for certain extension ranges, and are usually not upgradeable from one to the other without purchasing the new model and reinstalling.
ØwBased on Linux Operating System- This system is generally more open and reliable than other operating systems. For instance this will allow easier adoption of double byte languages throughout Asia Pac.
ØwSupport programming- Only requires PHP programming which is simple and known by most programmers, thus is cheaper and simpler to wrap programs around maximiser. Opposition usually requires more complex programming language and connectivity is usually proprietary.
ØwHas an Apache Web Server in the box, and because it is true IP makes interaction with the web much easier and cost effective. Able to push web pages to softphone or PCS400 etc. and assists with applications like IP security cameras etc. including movement detection and pushing images to softphones on site or remotely to a browser.
ØwNo redundancy- maximiser is fully software upgradeable thus eliminating redundancy. Also if other modules need to be upgraded in line with a modules software upgrade, then it is automatically upgraded to ensure compliance.
ØwWAN Interface is built in. This improves the price point and ease of connectivity over the WAN.
ØwCost of acquisition- This solution is more competitively priced than its immediate competitors especially above 30 extensions.
ØwThe Phone Module converts analogue functionality to IP. Unlike most of the opposition that usually have to handle analogue through another system, maximiser converts analogue into IP thus allowing full compliance of analogue telephones, modems and fax machines. Because of this the analogue phone modules can be located anywhere on the LAN or WAN network and up to 30 analogue devices can be replaced by one LAN cable.
ØwSystem management- maximiser’s distributed architecture allows the system to be managed and administered from anywhere that you can connect to a browser. This is particularly pertinent in a WAN solution as administration of the system can be performed from a single, web based, platform independent management interface.
ØwSingle and remote resilience- maximiser call servers automatically update one another providing single site resilience if multiple call servers are deployed. This is also the case in a multiple site situation allowing resilience and also remote survivability in case of local equipment failure or because of telephone network downtime. It includes automatic resynchronization after reconnection.
ØwWireless capabilities- because of the system’s IP roots the system works well in a wireless environment.
ØwSkills based routing- This functionality is free of charge whereas with the opposition it can be quite expensive. Routing can be based on telephone number dialed, skill set or capability of employees and allows departments, distribution groups, group hunting by all extensions, rotary, sequential or manual or by skill set.
ØwLeast Cost Routing- included free of charge.
ØwAuto Attendant- is included free.
ØwCall Logging- ingoing and outgoing calls are retained and stored. This is included in the system free of charge.
ØwCall Recording- in addition to supporting more sophisticated 3rd party Call Recording Systems, maximiser allows the recording of calls at the touch of a button. The .wav file of the recording is then emailed to you. This is included free of charge.
ØwVoicemail- 10 voicemail boxes are included with each 5100 call server, 5 included with 5108. Extra voicemail are at a low cost.
ØwUnified messaging- Voicemails are sent to Outlook or AppleMail etc. SMS notification of voicemails can be sent.
ØwTwinning of office phone to mobile or home phone (etc.)- There is no need to remember to forward calls to your mobile or to home when you leave your desk. Calls can be automatically twinned so that when you are away from your desk calls will be forwarded to your desired number.
ØwMobility- whether at home, or in a hotel on the other side of the world, connectivity via broadband will mean you are connected to the system and the same as sitting in your own office. Calls will be directed to your laptop and you can make calls from the PBX.
ØwCall forwarding- calls from an individual, group or department can be forwarded to any number.
ØwBrowser based softphone – allows information to be pushed to the user based on their CLI.
ØwMeet Me Conferences – provides for conferences up to 120 participants, thus eliminating the cost of conducting conference through network provider.
ØwSIP and H.323 Support
ØwWide Choice of Endpoints – any H.323 or SIP compatible phone will work with the system
Øwmaximiser provides identical facilities wherever you may be; in the office, working from home or on the road - GSM/Mobile extension, GSM/Mobile remote working, analogue remote working, IP remote working. SpliceCom’s Extension Anywhere feature set allows maximiser users’ access to extended telephony facilities wherever they may be; in the office, working from home or on the road.
ØwQueue Buster- Announces where you are in the queue and give you the option to be rung back when you reach position 1. Gives you the option to be rung on your present number or on another number if you are going to be mobile (requires ESP).
ØwRing Back when Busy- If your intended person you are ringing is busy then you will be given the option to be called when the intended is free. You will be given the option to be called on your present number or on a nominated number if you are going to be mobile (requires ESP).
ØwApplications “Push Technology” enables intranet or web enabled information to be sent to employees desktops as a proactive defined communication strategy or as a prepared response. As such this enables “live” information where applicable to be pushed to say sales or support teams regardless of location by linking the URL or IP address where this information resides. Extrapolation of this functionality supports web cams in HTML format and when used in conjunction with remote door access the system applications enhances corporate security needs.
ØwExtended connectivity or mobility – The maximiser offers connectivity for standard based wireless phones supporting DECT or Wireless LAN 802.11b with more in train. DECT offers cost efficiencies although where IP is a pre-requirement, wireless VoIP phones adhering to 11Mps 802.11b specification offer a proven field solution. H323 / H450 and SIP extend the range of connectivity to support client’s communications, CRM or ERP solutions needs and aspirations going forward.
ØwWorks with Apple Computers- We are the only system that works with Apple Mac PCs.
